Hi everyone! I don't know about you, but to me the bike that has left the biggest mark on the superbike world is the Ducati 916. In my new video, I'm taking a dive into its design, technology, racing success and legacy. Enjoy!
This motorcycle won my heart over back in day in 1993 at the NEC Birmingham show but not my head / wallet,I'd have a ride on a 996S back in 2001 which was only for 15 minutes, but it wasn't until 2012 that i really started looking at Ducati ownership when i found one late 2013 by pure chance & purchased it in march 2014.I then started having a one man wrecking ball show on the public roads ever since.
I've those boots in the cupboard somewhere, damn people will starting judging me from now on in with that footwear. P.S Just stick her in the christmas stocking for me.
Thank you! Before I got that 916 SPS, I was also looking at a 748 R - nothing wrong at all with those, man! I currently even run a 180 rear tyre on the 916, brings them even closer together... When I saw them in WSBK in the 90s I couldn't dream of affording one. When I got my 998 in 2013 (like you!) it was nothing short of a dream come true. Totally! The 1299 Anniversario or the 1199 Superleggera do look quite nice too, though. Why is it always the special editions?
There're some days when i do feel like a oldman with the body aches etc,but do not pigeonhole me just yet in that department.
