  2. We’ve asked #1 son to go and buy them a few bits so they have something to open on Xmas day. And they’ll get their real presents when we see them next :)

  4. Be careful what you wish for. By today’s standards, my 1961, 997cc Cooper was a bag of shite and I do not understand why people remember them with so much fondness, they clearly never owned one. Really fragile engine, roller skate suspension, cramped and way too much performance for the tyres of the day. Andy

  5. Was thinking in monetary terms, my SigOther owned a standard 90’s Mini when we first met but once we had kids it became impractical.

  6. My '66 998cc Hydrolastic susp, a total transformation, nothing to touch it in a rural enviroment.

  7. My mum had one of those and I can still remember the reg plate
MNF 178G, grey with red plastic interior and sliding front windows
It became mine when I was older, and was the first car I crashed!

  8. Coolio, i absolutely ragged this little car, four up every Friday night, pissed , regularly out pacing the old bill through the country lanes, i am sure they knew it was me but saw it as a bit of sport. Looking back now a bit reckless.

  9. Same here, well without the police on my tail!
There was a newly laid piece of polished tar mac near me which when you hit at the right angle and speed you could drift making the most rewarding sound!
Our postman witnessed it on one occasion and grassed me up to my mum!

  12. Built this frame up into a complete bike for my lad, we’ll upgrade some of the components as we go. Managed to get it close to £1600 for the full build. 6DA5B02E-A36E-4A4E-A675-DE30725C04D6.jpeg

As a treat after cycling, I’ve put nearly a whole punnet of black grapes with some honey in a blender and almost downed the lot, it was delicious.
