  1. Think I would rather buy one of these and spend the other £12 grand on ferries and holidays :D

Was being a bit flippant here but you get my drift ;)

  6. The 950 still has a 19” front wheel, a 170 profile rear tyre and has a double sided swing arm. Which to most commenting in this thread, is the problem. Andy

  7. Sorry, but you are wrong.....if I was gonna buy a 950, this would be the colour scheme ;):D

  8. Yes but they seem to buy a bike based on bragging rights with their mates.:D

  9. Who,s they?

As far as I can tell, the end result of the survey and general opinion / sentiment of most of the discussions seems to be that the v4 does not offer a direct replacement for the 1260, it may find a home with some that either don’t want or need the road biased sportiness of the 1260 or 1200.
Bragging rights for the v4 could be....... I’ve just bought the ugliest, most expensive, pretend off-road, delicate, thirsty copy of what the Germans do best. Or ...... it’s actually better than it looks,!!

  10. I still bet the V4 will show the V2 a clean pair of heels.

I loved every moment of my 2 Multis but always open to something new.

  11. Are you suggesting it has a better rear fender? It's certainly not a faster bike. Although a fast rider on the V4 would certainly be faster than a slow rider on a V2

And indeed a fast rider on a V2 would be faster than a slow rider on a V4 and they'd be on a nicer looking bike while doing so :punch:;)

  13. How do you know?

  14. Nobody does, but straight forward physics would suggest that as the V2 is lighter, has more torque and a larger contact patch under hard acceleration, with equal riders the V4 is more likely to struggle to keep up than “show a clean pair of heels” .
And at least both sides of its engine are the same color! :p

  16. That in itself should gets Ducati's attention :bucktooth:

  17. Yeah, I was expecting to be well over 100 now!

When I joined a few months ago it was like the Mary Celeste on here, with a new post every few hours. Now look at it!

  18. When mine arrives in April it will still feel like xmas ....... I actually believe for my kind of riding it will be perfect ( European touring ) with a more balanced ride not quite so edgy as my previous Multi V2 but more than enough for the road riding and with the comfort that we have all come to enjoy for long days in the saddle. I'm sure if you dig deep you'll find things that dont work for you but there are plenty of great bikes out there to choose from !!

  19. It will be interesting how hot the seat gets while pootling in Euro land traffic on the V4?
My V2 Mutley was almost painful in Italy in July a few times. But a hoot when the traffic cleared.

  20. A lot of Luddites on here! There's no way it's not going to be a better bike.
