One of the things I did look at was the pannier fastenings, it looks like they just hook straight on, its got an upright peg off the footrest that it sits on to!!
Happy memories, from a few years ago, chasing that lovely MV down some Spanish / French mountains, 2 up on a lazy handling Multistrada . Great times @Bumpkin .
Except you seem to make yours defy my lazy handling statement Phil... Yes, memories. Seem to have forgotten what it's like to be on a decent long trip.
I’d like to know if you spec the full system on the V4S Performance, what is the actual price, as the cost for the option on the V4S is the same, but the Performance comes with the Akra end can as standard, which is a large factor in the extra cost of the model.
Hopefully our trips come off next year Great bike, why would you change it? We too got to Scotland for a week in September, lucky with the weather too only 1 days rain . Great reg. btw 2 digits off mine
I think we probably met at Ouistreham on the way back from France in June 2019. I don't think you had had your Multi long then.
Bloody hell, yes that's us haha, we had just been on a tour around France, I got it July 2018, it's been an amazing bike and I have loved every minute of riding it, but the lure of the V4 with the four-year warranty as standard, as well as all the other safety and functionality features has led me to decide to change, I had the 1260S as well as a Triumph 765RS, which I never got to ride as we always went out together on the Ducati, so I made the decision to chop both in and go for a V4S Sport, we love touring around Europe, Spain and Portugal are in our sights again for next year and I think this bike will just meet both our expectations, it just ticks all the box's for us, cant wait to get back out touring on open roads!!
I hate to say it but I think that’s the two issues with MV, no one in their right mind pays full price for them, because when you want to sell them nobody wants to buy them, because outside of warranty things can be sketchy. Not helped that in the UK now the prices are eye watering.
I didn't want to let the Street Triple go, an amazing bike with plenty of power, but it came to a decision of what suited us best and the new Multi got the thumbs up!
The MVA's are true to their marketing: Motorcycle Art..... No Question! Major draw-backs are price, dealer network, apparent reliability and parts availability. With this in mind, having an MVA would be great as a secondary bike.
Got my first ride yesterday, and purchased a new one straight away. I had a GS 1250 on order, and cxd it while i was sat on the bike by email and walked to the Ducati desk and purchased a new one that was in stock and ready for delivery straight on Jan 2nd
