  1. Hi all and Merry Christmas!

After owning 6 BMW s, amoung 3 GSA for the last years, Im ready to take the step into the Italian world. I have no complains about the BMW, but I think its time to try something new. This will be my first Ducati. I never try out the motorcycles when I buy them, im just thinking I get used to it :)
Hope its the same with the Multistrada too. Cant wait to buy one :)

  2. Love my 1200 Enduro, I'm sure you'll love the 1260 (not that I've ridden one but can't be that different).

  3. welcome @Kjell Bencsik, nice bike.

Carefully filling her up if using the center-stand & rocking her off. I tend to steer away from me & pivot it into me rather than straight forward. 33-Litres of fuel adds a fair amount of weight'

  4. Welcome aboard, looks like a mile muncher without the pain.:upyeah:

  5. Welcome and enjoy

  6. Don't take too long if buying new. As far as I understand they're not making them any more, just selling the stock they have.

  7. Out of curiosity, why not the new V4 Multistrada?

  8. Cus I dont wanna buy 350K for a motorcycle :) And I like the old enduro look :)

  13. That's a bold/ballsy move. I have a friend who's on his 3rd 1260 Enduro, changes bikes as frequently as his underpants. He loves it/them. Enjoy your new Ducati, as I'm sure you will, once it's in your hands.

  14. Hi and welcome. I bought my Supersport unseen, never ridden a Ducati before. It’s the best bike I’ve had. Love it.

  15. Hi,
I have also owned lots of BMWs, last summer sold on my 2018 GSA rally - my 4th GSA and 13th BMW! Great bikes but one can only have so much of the same thing and although the BMWs are constantly evolving the same old design(and crap gearbox) remains!

Desperate for something different, more exciting but staying with the adventure bike theme and having never owned a Ducati I thought it was well overdue, I bought the 1260 Enduro a few months back.

Biggest surprise, the comfort, how well the suspension works, ease of use of electronics and build quality! All things I thought would not have been up to the BMW especially as I had upgraded my suspension on the BMW to the DDI Touratech shocks! but all has actually turned out to be a leap above the GSA.

Then with the full race Termi system the Multi sounds amazing, if not a little loud

The only draw back, the Multi Enduro even compared to the GSA is very much top heavy, to the point where I wasn’t expecting it and dropped it in the garage on the second day!

  16. Ahh thats a pity, but I never felt that the GSA was very top heavy, but I keep in mind that the Ducati could be. Really looking forward to get the bike and try it out. My BMW dealer is only 8 km from my home, but the nearest Ducati workshop will be 230 km from home :)

  17. I find my 1200 Enduro a bit top heavy (especially with a full fuel tank) but it's only when it's not moving. All fine when it's going. Long legs helps a lot!

  18. Only 30 in pants here, so not so long legs :) But I managed the GSA just fine and the Ducati has 3 cm lower seat height, so I think it would be fine..
