Hi, we have a Ducati 916 here that we wonder if was used for racing. The frame number seems slightly unusual, being a 14 digit vin, not a 13 or 17. The frame number is ZDM916S2001003 and is in GSE Racing / HM Plant livery. I've purchased the book as suggested elsewhere in this forum and so far have drawn a blank. Can anyone help please? Thankyou
Why not contact Ducati directly? Just check Engine Number and Frame Number with the Ducati factory here: [email protected]
I've sent a email to Ducati with the frame number, there is no engine number on the V5, it is recorded as Not Stated, will have to get to the bike and see if I can find an engine number. Thanks

Left hand side bottom. You find the engine number there. You also need photographs of the Vin and Engine numbers as well as photos from all sides and showing the registration number, a picture of the V5 in your name and ID before Ducati will give you any information.
There’s quite likely an asterisk before the last six numbers and at the end. On the early vins these counted as characters. That looks a pretty normal vin to me tbh.
