  7. Having done a fair bit of research over the past few weeks I finally went for these - https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/458758

I have at least 10 pairs of gloves including 3 or 4 pairs of “winter” gloves (I’ve no idea how I’ve accumulated that many) so I didn’t want to spend a fortune (though the RRP on these are £200.) as I’m not commuting with them and they’ll only be used on occasional social ride outs.

They get good reviews on the internet too :)

  8. hope you are feeling better? I had it in November, was not pleasant but could have been so much worse. I had some lasting issues with my lungs but luckily things are back to normal now I’d say.

  9. Loads better thanks mate. Mostly back to normal just a bit of a cough to go. I think fitness will take a bit as it seems with most people but glad to hear you got back to normal within a month?
I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, it’s been worse than I expected!

I’m still isolating until the 2nd and boredom has arrived with bells on now!

  10. @CRYSTALJOHN

Well they turned up an hour ago. Well packaged etc. Box includes gloves, charger, two lithium batteries and instructions.

First impressions are the gloves are well made, nice leather but feel a bit bulky at first when you put them on......but I’m sure that’ll settle down when they’ve been used a few times.

I connected the batteries to the gloves, which was easy enough and have tried all the settings (low, medium, high and booster) and they all seem to work well and quickly too. Also tried them with my textile jacket to see how they went with it and they “fit” well. I’ve also used them with my phone and iPad using the forefinger and thumb of each hand and they work too.

Obviously the real test will be when I finally get out on the bike but like I said, so far so good :upyeah:

  12. I was just listening to a “Important Cases of 2020” webinar for my annual CPD and I was surprised to hear one of mine get a mention, and then 3 others involving colleagues.

Own trumpet well and truly blown, I’m now off to pretend to be a motorcycle mechanic by fiddling with the DT175 a bit more

  13. I’ve rearranged my storage areas to accommodate the growing amount of biking associated chargers etc (phone chargers, airbag vest, heated gloves etc) so that I know where they all are and they are easily accessible.

I’m now having a latté and a slice of homemade ginger cake :)

It’s all go in my world :)

  17. Great minds think alike*, though that’s a .177. Arguably better for taking pigeons tbh as don’t need a heavy pellet and the smaller calibre shoots a flatter and faster trajectory.
