For Sale Ebay Bikes

  1. Nice selection of bikes, but ran by dodgy people it would seem. Annoyingly the same thing with Superbike Factory and Rite Bike. Takes out a lot of potential bikes as an option!

  2. I bought my bike from super bike factory. Painless transaction tbh. Bike was delivered for free, next morning it had a check engine light, they picked it up, sorted it and delivered it back, all within a few days.
My bike turned out better than described too.
Also got a 15 month warranty.

  3. No connection with superbike factory, but they did make a fair offer for my S1000RR, which I accepted. They didn't turn up on the arranged day, so I sold it the next day privately. The buyer transferred the money into my account, and then dicked around for over a month because they had some insurance issue. In hindsight I should have let the dealer have it.

  4. I guess it’s the usual internet thing of only hearing about bad experiences!
I won’t be seriously looking until spring time anyway, just keeping a close eye on prices.

  5. You might have the patience of a saint for putting up with a buyers issues for a month. You definitely have at least two weeks more patience than me!

  6. What could I do, I had his money and he kept delaying picking up the bike. It gets worse though, he'd bought new tyres so I offered to take the wheels out and run them down to the bike shop. Then he's bitching the balance weights aren't black. Lastly, he rings me after riding the bike away, saying there is oil all over the back of the engine. Sends me some pics, and it's chain lube. Cnut.

  7. Gotta tell you, I'm so glad that was you & not me!

  8. I had a guy drive all the way from Hull to Petersfield @15yrs ago to View a boat I had for sale for £2,500.

He haggled me down to £2,300 and I assumed he'd pay and tow it home that day.

But he gave me a £300 deposit and said he'd be back the following weekend.
During the week he called and said he wouldn't be able to make it, but posted me a cheque for the entire balance on the understanding he'd be down in 3 weeks time. I paid the cheque for £2K into my bank and waited for the scam to kick in.
But nothing happened and the money stayed in my account.

Despite trying very hard to contact him, and leaving lots of messages on his mobile and home phone numbers over the next couple of months I never heard from him again, but really didn't know what to do. I eventually left a message on both his mobile and home phones saying he had 7 days to contact me otherwise I would advertise the boat again and the money he'd paid me would be considered as storage costs.
A neighbour who was a police inspector offered to sit with me whilst I made the calls and be a witness if required later on.

Again I didn't hear a word from him, and sold the boat again shortly afterwards for the full asking price.

    Nasher.
