So what have you done today..?

  1. Trying to apply for a passport renewal. Took a pic on my computer but the definition is not great enough for the Passport Office, soooooo tried again and now the sun is full on in my face and I can't see what I am doing! Feck!!!

My younger brother lives in Singapore. He has already wished me Happy New Year as they are a bit ahead of us!

  2. Sorted out my loft and found standard cans for my old 1199. Forgot all about them, so if someone needs a set, make me an offer

  4. That’s our first trip now booked for 2021!!

Hopefully we are off to Iceland in February!

If that goes well, we will probably look at going to Sainsbury’s in March!

  8. I sorted some paperwork out, which took me an hour or so. The rest of today I’ve been bored. New Year’s Day is such an anticlimax :(

  11. similar to above, too cold for a decent cycle ride, spent hours fettling a mountain bike I should never have bought but mostly done now, (and up for sale).

  12. Yesterday afternoon i grabbed some beers and popped over to see a friend & his christmas lights but very thick fog so photographs not so good.,many hours later in front of an open fireplace and a little tipsy it was worth the effort.

  13. @CRYSTALJOHN

Well I’ve just tried out the heated gloves for the past hour and a quarter :p ...........they are good :upyeah: Took a bit of trial and error to get the best setting but after a bit of fiddling I found the best way to get to them to heat up (and stay heated) was to bang them straight up to “boost” then after a few mins drop it down to “3” then a few mins later down to “2”. I didn’t drop down to “1” as my hands and fingers/thumbs were just the right temp. I then came home when it started to belt down with snow ❄️ :bucktooth:

  14. Nothing so far today. Was woken during the night by the sound of a walnut shell being cracked only it wasn’t a walnut ....... it was something in my lower back. Fortunately I have an appointment with my chiropractor on Monday and I have a few moggabomb pain killers to tie me over. Wasn’t planning to do much this weekend anyway :( Andy

  15. Met up with KTM riding mate and headed to north Norfolk coast. Excellent sausage bap at Thornham deli then east along coast rode to Wells-Next-The-Sea then inland and back home.
2C but sunny. Roads were mud filled tracks along coast. Didn’t spot another bike for 4 hours riding.

  16. Have you thought of getting it Ceramic coated. My mate had his GS done and when he and a friend went for a spin in crap weather, when they got back compared to the Triumph the GS was clean when they got back and to get it sparkly again he just rinsed it with a hose pipe.

  17. I did a few years ago. Then the well documented GS Paint Pox reared it’s ugly white spotty head. BNW very kindly put a complete new engine in for me.
However the shaft drive casing is now getting the odd match head sized white spot close to machined edges.
If I keep it this year I may get it done.
It did get a bit filthy,

  18. The dreaded pox was pointed out to my mate by the coaters, but they said the coating would prevent it getting worse ?

  19. Replaced the joists in my ex rental property as the originals were eaten by dry rot, ready for floorboards and a new ceiling in the kitchen below now.
