Tax Changes Affect Goods From Eu To Uk

  1. I have placed an order from America and it’s on its way they have a header saying will be shipped to the UK
Should be with me tomorrow I ordered last week
I ordered directly from the company

  2. Tbf I suppose it is the tax payer who pays your pension.

  3. You can’t use nhs?!

  4. That started well ;)
I don't agree that is "what it means to be a leave campaigner" - some of us are perfectly rational, sensible and decent people...and some of us are even in relationships with and have children with "foreigners".
However, if you are content to agree that there are "tossbags" on both sides of the argument I believe we will be in agreement.

  5. Wasn't there a lot of complaining about online companies like Amazon, Ebay etc not paying their share of TAX - how will it affect them ?

  6. Last week was before the new rules came in

  7. And this is what concerns me. We pay what we pay and its tough shit where we live, but to lose access to various vendors due to their decision to avoid the hassle/cost of dealing with HMRC, that will be far more annoying. Its already a relatively small marketplace with interesting/reliable vendors without losing access to some of them going forward.

  9. I just checked now and the banner says shipping to the uk

  10. ok can we please keep on topic now

  11. Dealing with America, China etc hasn't changed, only the european market.
We have always applied the duties at this end through HMRC

  12. In a way, but only because I spent 120 hours a week sitting in a mud hole in Germany for little pay and no overtime so that snowflakes could go down the pub in the UK without being threatened buy Russians.

  13. But they can organise that their borders are closed, and then they can organise to send covid testing teams to Kent because the UK could not cope.

  14. On the contrary sir, only ever positive thoughts from my mindset regarding the Uk's future, did you know that our 2019 fish landings were worth a billion pounds, this could be so much more if we'd control of all our waters and charged our opposite numbers for access.More prosperity for country as a whole is only a positive step for getting back into the black.

I'll just state for the record that the bigots and xenophobes, the inward looking knuckle draggers are almost in their entirety on the brexit side, then I'm out. Nobody voted remain out of xenophobia, which is ironic in a way, as they probably should have.

  20. Have a look through the Corona Virus thread. There are many posts quoting members of the government & scientists stating the reverse.

What's not true is saying anything other than a close variant of:

"Whilst most kids are generally not affected (as far as we know at this time) by Covid 19, they are prime spreaders of the virus due to the high numbers of contacts, inside closed rooms, which they all make everyday. The adults who are in contact with children are then infected and in turn spread the virus to all communities".
