now there’s where you reasoning fails, yes nearly 17 million people did not want it BUT and here’s the sting nearly 18.4 million people did want it and in a democracy thats how it works. I cant wait to visit France again as a tourist, we will goto the same gite we have been going to for about 17 years, we will visit the same restaurants and tourist attractions we visit every year the only thing that may change is we may need to get an international driving licence (£5) and inform my insurance company that I’m going to mainland Europe. I love France and the French people (maybe not the farmers, they are militant bastards who) just because I voted to leave it does not mean I’m not going to try and continue to visit.
Unless you have a trade agreement with another Country then you are obliged to trade under WTO rules. There is no get out of that.
That is a great idea. All the milk that the UK used to send to the EU can now be sent to Australia. All the fresh fruit and veg from the EU, mostly Spain, can now come from Australia.
I don't think that is a single market. Its a free trade agreement between a group of Nations. I think you are confusing the idea of a free trade agreement and a single market agreement. They are not the same thing.
Did you not pop into Tescos when you popped over here to take advantage of a VAT free bike deal last year? I know you were only on a flying visit and hence didn’t self isolate as the law required so time was short. However if you had done a trawl of the fruit and veg aisle you’d be very surprised that fruit and veg is also grown outside the land of milk and honey as you know Europe. I think some smart arse supermarket buyer might have anticipated the ‘supposed’ scurvy inducing Brexit and I’d say 75-80% of the fruit and veg was from non EU countries. Admittedly all the oranges and easy peelers were from Spain though.
Amd never sat in a mud pit for more than 120 minutes never mind 120 hrs a week. Everyone knows RAF sit in hotels and bars while the Army and Navy do all the work....even Navy have their own pilots
On the admittedl On the admittedly small cross section I’ve met RAF fast jet pilots have tended to be the ones sat in a corner discussing lift and power ratios and navy pilots are as mad as a box of frogs
Very funny and true for most of the RAF. The exception is when you are on Harriers and find that you are wearing camo clothes more than blue ones.
Possibly, but they do get their aircraft fixed by RAF engineers when they cannot cope themselves. I spent many a month at RNAS Yeovilton repairing Sea Harriers because the work was beyond anything that the Navy lads could do. (Cat 3 repairs).
Yet more winning and turning the UK into a 'world beating powerhouse'. https://www.ft.com/content/a434b756...T6qDE5Im9WE1Zrf1HZ-NVoEQ9U_KVipwSs8Y3k8M5Fk7I
No, just don’t subscribe to FT. At a guess the headline suggests London is doomed, the article is full of mights and ifs, usual sort of stuff ?
So is this a U.K. vat rule change only or not? And does it mean if I buy a £20 bit of bike from Italy I will have to pay vat and import taxes?
