Hi all. After a few years on ktms I've been to look at a 1200 enduro today which I really like however when I climbed aboard I encountered a problem, the seat height is too low! I can nearly flat foot both feet. I imagine I could add preload to raise the rear but the main issue is the peg to seat height. I feel like I'm sat in the bike and not on it. The salesman got the seat off (eventually) to check for adjustment but we couldn't see any. Are there any other options? Thanks.
The rubber foot pads on the 1260 are thinner than on the 1200 and should give a bit more leg room. I am about to do this on my 1200 to adjust seat to peg measurement. They are quite lightly sprung so upping the preload should help. I'm 6ft 1 and 14 stone + and have preload around 18/19 !!
Thanks for the welcome guys. Footpeg rubbers and packing the seat up might be the answer. Anyone got £10000 they don't want?
I should of remembered, I use a airhawk2 seat to raise height. This allows me to change positions on long journeys.
