The people (cough Hyside) who changed the battery on my 959 last, seem to have used a butter knife to tighten the screws. Any tips on loosening these bastard things? ;
Was that a mallet type hammer? Because it did not work for me I ended up drilling the screw head and using a 10lb slide hammer to shift the screw from the battery, just enough to get a jenny bar under the screw lip. Then with a mate sitting on the bike applying the brakes I levered the screw up enough to get the hack saw to the bugger
oh yea But maybe looking at the hexagonal bolt in the OPs picture, that might have been to obvious So he has been given other options
What I was saying before, I put a new battery on my bike today ( original one did really well, over six years! ) and this is what I was saying about using capheads, with the extra lead’s for Garmin and battery tender you need some decent Allen screws in there I think ? Apologies for dirty bike but hadn’t had the fairing off for a while !
