He's a retired BR signalmen with a very interesting vocabulary, also enthusiastic with old Landrovers / lorries / buses / trains etc....question is do you've a triple eight up there.
My good deed of the day was to try and help a neighbour get his car up the hill in the snow so he could visit his heavily pregnant wife (with complications) in hospital. When pushing the car failed, as the front wheels just kept spinning, I gave him my new tyre snow socks to use. They worked and he managed to get out of the close and on his way to the hospital.
Too much time on my hands waiting for the results of a Covid test taken this morning. Typically the not knowing accentuates every little symptom that normally you wouldn’t even notice. Going to be a challenging 48 hours. Andy
Tax Returns!!! Private and company return as well as companies house return. Takes so much time to tell them that I have done nothing, earnt nothing and cost nothing. But my return goes back to just after my accident in March '19 when I was working for a company who put me on government sick pay! It was about £95 per week, so no tax to pay! Now that crap is done for another year, I can return to the important stuff of finishing fixing bikes and exercise!
You couldn’t have cued this up better, had occasion to go up in the loft about an hour ago and did get a bit of a shock on finding the biggest rat I’ve seen in the property so far.
My accountant sent my personal tax return for approval yesterday with a note to say I'd overpaid and was due a refund of just over a couple of grand. I got all excited thinking what to buy, then when I checked the figures I realised that they'd missed a nought off the end of my dividends, so it looks like I'll be shelling out instead.
It might be a bit granny, eggs, and sucking, but if it happens again with a front wheel drive car that is, try reversing it up the hill.
Funnily enough we did try that but it wasn’t happening either. Which was annoying as a little VW Polo had just done the same thing.
He might have been poisoned at another food venue a few doors down,i'm looking forward to the post mortem.
