Hi there just wondering if everyone else has a side stand like mine? With the slightest of movements back the side stand flips up, is this normal or is there a way to make it flip up after its moved back more? I'm just a little worried that when I remove the rear paddock stand there won't be a side stand for the bike to rest on
That’s normal for Ducati at least my 851 did this, makes ownership more exciting though. ‘You’re never bored on a Ducati’ TM. Just gonna point out that’s my slogan and Ducati can buy it for a fee.
I've never had a problem with the 916 flipper, all in a days ride mindset just own the damn thing with use.
, only anecdotal evidence and an unwillingness to convert a bike with a suicide stand to a more normal setup. To counter have you evidence they don’t, photographic or otherwise?
I'd just order new springs and switch them out and see if that fixes the issue. Shouldn't be very expensive.
No suicide stand on the 848.... check the mounting is secure in the cases and also the pivot bolt and lock nut are tight. There should be two springs on it to. A heavy gauge and a lighter one thru the centre. Make sure both are hooked up. The thinner ones can break at the hook where the fasten to the stand
Will new springs make it stiffer and not want to flip up as easily as it does now? There haven't been any problems, I think I will be getting the gf to help me get it off the stand
