V4 2020 V4 Fairings Fit A 2018 V4?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by DRR117, Jan 10, 2021.

  1. Evening Ducatisti! Deposit down on a magnificent V4 and am looking at my options for track fairing. Now being quite tall I’m leaning towards getting the wider fairings for the 2020 model from the Ducati performance parts catalogue. My question is do they fit the 2018 bike? Might be a silly question but new to the V4 world (in fact the bike hasn’t even been delivered yet) but presume one of you fine forum members will have no doubt slapped some newer fairings or V4R fairings on the first gen.

secondly, if they do fit, has anyone got any 2020 farings they wish to sell? Road or track. :)

roll on the spring so I can see what all the fuss is about these V4’s :motorcycleduc:

  2. Yes the V4R fairings (which I believe are identical to the 2020 model) fits the 1st generation base and S models but you need a couple of extra small fixings. The V4R (unpainted) upper and lower track fairing kits, https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/accessories/search?family=SB#, cost a few pence under £700 but you also need to buy wings (£221) and a screen (£234). The extra brackets are a few quid. Andy

  10. As it requires what I consider major surgery, gave it to my dealer to fit at the same time as the first annual service. Can I tell the difference ? Yes, the engine braking set at maximum is definitely more aggressive. It is also supposed to reduce the amount of muck in the oil but didn’t really do enough miles last year to notice if the oil was cleaner or not. With the dry clutch, you also have options for tuning the operation by changing spring compression rates. It’s a trick bit of kit. Andy

  11. Dry clutch conversion is pretty intense but will put some links up for you.... 3 parts all in
