Who me! Not at all just my humble opinion based on experience, bit like life, slightly tainted with derision!
Hey newbie don’t forget my rubbish bin pictures if you want to keep me happy don’t be led astray by filling your paddling pool welcome into our mad house
I've spent the last 4 years making sure there was no shite in the background on the pictures I've posted on the 1000rr fireblade forum!!!!! Now I've got to try and reverse that way of thinking???
Welcome, I too have a Fireblade a bit older than yours as a 2010 model, but recently bought a V2 and love the difference. Haven't as yet ridden it in any type of anger as trying to run it in properly. Was tempted by the V4, but just preferred the look of the white V2 and it's plenty for the road. Plus you get a better feeling when you outrun someone on a 1299 .
Hey @frazzle ......yep the R1 was bought as an investment really and a long termer. But once I've got an idea in my head it won't go away!!! If I can a get a good trade in on the blade against a panigale then it'll be that that goes unfortunately. I've spent quite alot of money and put alot of time into the R1, its her I look at first and stroke when I walk into the garage
Hi With regards to your dilemma i would say a Ducati is a joy to own. i have owned both a 899 and 1299s and 2 Multistrada’s. If your going to do trackdays go for the v4 if not go for the v2. I regrettable sold my 1299s in May last year and still miss it. It was a thing of beauty but you can't ride it like you want on the road. In traffic its too hot and it hates going slow. Along with the state of the roads it was a handful. I got more out of my 899 for road use. Much more usable for everyday riding. Enjoy whatever your decision.
i've got a Supersport S ( and an 1100 Evo in Rossi trim). Both smashing bikes, they are not lunatic fast but fast enough to frighten you if you let them. Had a600 Pantah before that.
So I've put an end to my dilemma and a deposits gone down on a V4!!! 2020 standard V4, 1 owner with 1900 miles on the clock. Now I probably wouldn't have opted for an Aruba replica but its only a decal kit, a very professionally applied decal kit might I add, but the chances are I'll have the wife's hair dryer out after a few weeks and have them stripped off. We'll see, it might grow on me but apart from thats she's as standard as they come, which is how I like them really, put my own stamp on it then! So has anyone got a single sided paddock stand going cheap? Oh and a tail tidy?
Welcome Paul.... Nice place this! Just as entertaining with plenty of sarcasm Btw I’m still standing by my hairdryer comment
