Do not know the are much so any suggestions of place to live within like 15 miles from Wembley stadium? I would prefer to stay on Wembley side of the river to not cut through town on daily commute. It would need to be relatively cheap but not a hole and area should be close, 20-30 min walk, to like cinemas, bars a shopping street. I lived before on North side around Wood Green and liked it, any recommendations?
Ealing itself is quite nice - athough mebbe not that cheap. Depends by what you mean as 'cheap' doesn't apply to London, but you know what you want and what you're prepared to pay. It's only 4 or 5 miles from Wembley. Certainly has bars and good shops. Acton too? You need to take yourself for a ride around and see what works. Depends if you want to be 'in London' as you could even go out as far as Rickmansworth - which is only 12 miles down the A404. 15 miles is a big radius - especially in town, as you know well.
Not yet but watch this space .... I am clear in Bromley and Lambeth. Lambeth council dragged it all the way to adjudicators to then not show up Sign in question facing the wrong way is still facing wrong way.
Ealing is not bad, hubby comes from there, we still go back to see the in laws, not a bad area and really quite easy for Wembley.
Wood Green I would avoid. Ealing is safe and generally a good area, although pricier. Hendon is surburban and cheaper. Finchley also an option. 3 above are better than Wood Green from a security POV.
Try Friern Barnet, it should be cheaper than Ealing and you might even get a place that has a garage.
It's one of the Aussie centres in London, along with Clapham. I've never lived over there but I've known plenty who did. I lived in Clapham for a few years. Aussies don't drink Fosters. You can't even find it back here (Sydney), it's only in bars over there. Since I've been back I've not seen it on tap anywhere although I did try it when I was in London and it tasted completely different. It's brewed under license in the UK for the UK market. I'm a Hahn Super Dry man now. Or Toohey's extra dry. So many good choices here now, loving being home  Good luck in the new gig. I'm enjoying my new job, just past the 3 mth mark, although it's pretty hectic. I'm even leasing a car through work - woohoo!
