how cool would it be if farmers stood in solidarity with the fishermen in front of nr 10 with slurry loaded?
Now there's a thought. Many years ago a lorry with a load of fish waste (I've no idea where it was going) lost it's load on a sharp corner in the middle of our town. The resultant mess stank to high heaven. The road had to be closed until the fire service hosed it clean because it was so slippery and the smell hung about for weeks.
Why would it be cool, are the farmers and fishermen not happy with what the UK voted for? The government is just delivering what the people wanted. Are you saying that the people don't want to trade with the EU from the outside anymore? Should have thought about that before they voted to leave.
no, they are not happy that what was promised was not delivered. how unusual for the increadibly wealthy to not give a damn untill it's their turn to get shafted.
The promise was to leave the EU. If they think that they were promised anymore then they should have noticed that they were being lied to on the side of the bus. Brexit has happened, the majority voted for it and now all that they do is moan about it.
yes. but there is always exceptions to the rules. the highest concenration of millionares in the UK are base in orkney and are boat/fleet owners. live shellfish exporters mostly voted for remain. farmers come in various groups dont they. from crofters to massive estate owners. crofters and farmers that export to the EU, mostly didnt vote for brexit.
"concentration" doesn't reveal much of any use - if there was only one such person in Orkney the concentration would be 100%
At least it wasn’t you, but the fella who bought the items gave an ROI number, it’s on the invoice, therefore he didn’t pay UK VAT and as he’s VAT registered here there’s no requirement for the courier co to collect the vat and charge a handling fee, he would just account for ROI vat in his next return. He can and should claim those charges back from the courier co.
That's all well between businesses. Private individuals haven't got that option and will be stung with the handling fee.
Unless buying through a marketplace such as eBay or Amazon where they will have taken the vat at checkout I believe. However, I fully expect courier cos to try and charge it again.
I understand the attached pdf (vehicle movement form) won't be accepted when having more bikes in a van. This is what we used to take with us if having 4-6 bikes in a van. However, what happens if I have my own bike (V5 in my name) in my own van? In the past years we used to attend 3-4 hard enduro races in Austria and Romania.
you will need an ATA Carnet see this thread https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/euro-track-days-ata-carnet-fun.83676/#post-1787725
A business should reduce the price at checkout by the vat element as the marketplace is collecting the buyers vat, however, I accept many won’t until the reduction in their sales figures forces them to reconsider. Admittedly private seller to private buyer transactions are screwed.
My point are private sales on online facilitators from sellers abroad have now become unnecessarily more expensive. The EU may be gearing up to do the same for third countries like us but it won't be happing within the single market. It's another disadvantage of leaving the EU. More complicated and less transparent so in stark contradiction to the promises.
