Having lived with a BMW Adventure for about 14 months after a couple of Monsters and a Hyper which I adored I was feeling the need to return to Ducati. Looking with curiosity at the forum one evening a couple of weeks ago I came across a post from a certain Dave lambasting the Multistrada. Being a contrary sort of individual and a bit of a geek for its electronics it made me quite yearn after one. And so it came to pass that the same week the outfit where I bought the GSA happen to take in a 2010 Multi S with 5 thou on the clock and a host - I mean a host!! - of extras. Yes you are ahead of me. The deal is done, the Multi is mine and I cannot wait to pick it up at the weekend. So - thanks Dave. You are a gentleman. I will keep you posted.....
I had 4 GS's before buying a Multistrada in June 2012. Took a while before I was sure it was the right move but it definitely was. Signed up for another new one today so enough said. You will enjoy your new bike for sure.
Dunno if you mean me - I've never ridden a Multi - but if you do, then you are welcome (It's clearly an ugly, unreliable, pig of a bike but I hope you enjoy it) ;-)
Don't think it was you Dave. This one was leaving the forum like the proverbial rat up a drainpipe and was seriously peed off with his Multi experience. He caused a right old storm of comment but simply made me want one despite his tragic story of mechanical mishap. Madness I know but a delicious madness...
Hello, hope you didn't buy a grey one, apparently they're a right crock; http://ducatiforum.co.uk/f6/multi-gone-never-again-10817/
