Car passed the MoT with no advisories which is a relief as the diesel particulate filter through a wobbler the other week. Garage advised that a steady 55/60mph for about 10 miles would initiate a self cleaning process which clearly worked. Was also given a loyalty discount off the bill for the work today so very happy chappy. Andy
Got a man coming round to price up the removal of a variegated Canadian Maple from my garden that overhangs a public footpath on my boundary as well as the roots lifting the tarmac. The fact that the foliage has reverted is incidental. My neighbour the other side of the footpath will be pleased as it shades her garden from the middle of the day through to evening. Andy

Well, father and son rocked up at my front door about 9 this morning, looked the job over, quoted me a very reasonable price and by midday the tree was gone. Any branches smaller than about 3” were chipped and the larger stuff was logged and carted off. Huge, huge difference. They are coming back at the end of the month to rescue my 50 year old Magnolia Grandiflora that has got very lopsided after storm damage about 7 or 8 years ago. Too bloody cold to do anything but watch them through the kitchen window. Andy
I've cleaned two driveways today,plus dropped off a pint of milk & a loaf of bread for an elderly lady,also the replacement part has arrived for the van......only a day late.
Been searching for a new van today after I got back from work think it’s going to be a Toyota Proace 5 year/100,000 mile warranty. I really wanted a Mercedes Vito but out of my budget and only 2 year warranty, 5 years will see me until I retire doubt I’ll reach 100k.
