I've found a <1000 749r, a few questions

  1. Well I've been offered a 749r with less than 1000 miles, original owner, bigbore system etc etc.

Basically what should I look for on it? Its been sat in a collection, its been started and ridden for 3 miles once a month, then put back. 2 ducati service centers have said this is a good thing and it'll all be fine, it'll just need a belt service and all new fluids. Do we all agree with them?

Last of all, do you all think is the market price for this?:upyeah:

  5. Nothing I shouldn't :) Just trying to get as much info together as possible!!

  6. Cant help other than to say a friends wife has a 749R and its a achingly beautiful thing. If you can, go for it.

  7. I know, I've got to make the decision today....

  8. Yep! :)

    Wise choice?

  9. You won't regret it! how much was it?

  10. I'm keeping the price to myself for now. I've yet got to get it home and give it a full service/going over.

  11. Enjoy. Did you go for the carbon/non-carbon?

Trouble is now, as it's only got <1000 miles, you won't want to put any miles on it

  12. It's a 2004 carbon one.

Put it this way, it won't stay low mileage for too long :)

  15. Any pics?

    Sounds great.

If its been sat up for a while the fork seals probably buggered.
