939 Supersport Senna !

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Steve Paxman, Feb 17, 2021.

  1. Hi, I have seen a really nice 2018 939 Supersport S for sale in the Grey and Red. It is sporting a Senna decal, but I have seen others in the same paint scheme without the Senna logo. Was an official Senna model released or is it just a sticker ? Have googled it without any joy. Cheers

  2. Just a sticker. Andy

  3. :upyeah:

  4. @Steve Paxman, the grey and red similar to the original 916 Senna has proved to be a very popular colour scheme which has subsequently been used by Ducati on a number of models, the last of the 748’s in 2002 was a prime example. When buying anything in this colour scheme that is not the original 916 Senna, it does not add value, despite what the seller may claim. Andy

  5. Cheers for the info

  6. Didn’t think the S was in the Matt Grey?

  7. Bought my Supersport S in 2018 and the only S colours were red or white. Grey was introduced in standard form.

  8. Yeah, if I had a tenner for every time someone stuck a senna sticker on a matt grey Ducati and called it a 'Senna' I probably wouldn't have to worry about paying a mortgage!

  9. Why didn’t they do a yellow one instead of that awful grey? Or a black one. I’m not into this Matt look paint

  10. Ducati stopped doing yellow bikes because they literally only sold in April and May in the UK, might have been march/april but there was a consistent measured stat that for 2 months yellow bikes sell then not at all, it's a really weird phycology thing I'm sure. If you look across the manufacturers they all dropped them around 2005
