Started the old track veteran for the first time in a year. Ticks over nicely after changing hosepipe single hole injectors with some 12 hole ones. Probably needs a bit of dyno time to set them up. Donkey battery working well.
Took both wheels off the Hyper to do some cleaning - just for something to do! Now I have the wild excitement of walking to Halfords to buy brake cleaner
Went to ride this funky little fella to go and collect the DT175 carb from the mechanic to send back to the seller as it turns out that it’s one from an earlier model, only to find that the rear brake was seized on. Bled it, which cured the seizing but I no longer have a back brake. Or, as I found out when it started to go dark on the way home, no lights either
Started to put my 749 bodywork back together ready to sell on, got as far as the nose cone the indicator wires are bloody infuriating gave up.
Was going to take the Scrambler out , but the roads were still soaking wet , so I washed and cleaned the Tiger , and rubbed down the pannier brackets with a dremmel and painted them with some metal paint .
Well it was tough day for me....urgent run to the shops was requested by ‘er indoors’ and as it was necessary travel I had options & a decision to make...
Took the baby R out around Buckinghamshire. Lots of bikes out including a very sorted RGV250 mark 1. Weather brilliant for Feb.
