  3. To be honest i didn't realise how bad my local roads are since October my last ride, funny how you don't notice as much when sat in my van.

  4. I've a defender and that's the same as a tractor when hitting a pothole,:dizzy:...this hole's right outside Mohamed Al Fayed place, plus a much larger one in the rainwater puddle.:scream:

  6. Especially if your traveling late evening & don't know the road layout.

  7. I used to jet wash mine. Now I mix Aldi 50pence a litre bleach to a big bucket of water and spread it around with a yard brush. Takes minutes - far less time than the Karcher cleaning. There's no mess to clear up unlike the jet washer. The bleach kills the seeds so moss, algae, weeds etc don't grow back for months.

    EDIT:
You just leave the solution to do its magic. Thick moss takes a few days to die and then it turns brown and the UK weather gets rid of it via rain or wind.

Best to check the forecast, as the bleach works best when it has a full day to soak into the offending growth.

  9. Oxted or his daughters estate?

  10. There's a "road drop" just like that and easily that depth on the Cobham to Leatherhead Road and i can't understand how it's still there after around 4 years. It would also give a motorcyclist a big wake-up call if you went over it unwittingly. I've never phoned it in but tempted to get a dayglo aerosol can and highlight it, even if only for myself!

  11. The former.:upyeah:

  12. Chris, there's your mission for today exercise and yes i do know that road very well as i was based in Leatherhead / Chertsey & Sutton for a short period many moons ago swapping the road routes about that suited my mood swings..:upyeah:

  16. Made 80 liters of home brew which we divide between 3 of us and will last about 2 months normally. Somewhat less in lockdown though.

  19. Yesterday.

Went on an off road adventure for a few hours in the woods and fields on my ebike with the dog running alongside.

Came home, had some dinner and read this, my Valentine’s present from the girlf, for a couple of hours. I’ve realised that social media/the internet has shot my concentration span to such an extent that I can no longer get into books, so this is a nice light bit of reading rehab.
