Fun packed day planned for today....... Firstly I’ve got to order a new carbon water filter for the boiling tap in the kitchen, then we’re delivering a birthday cake and card to our old next door neighbour (socially distanced of course), followed by a trip to the garden centre to buy more stuff we didn’t know we needed. The fun just never stops. Hurrah!
Beats my day: At my home desk now, Zoom call with a Tokyo based eBook publisher at 9:30 followed by a works meeting with IT which is always a bore fest! Then a quick trip over in my lunch break to pick up the wife’s car & spend nearly £400 on her MOT repairs. Frankly a trip to the garden centre would sound like a blast today!
My brother is popping by for his birthday cake and a cuppa through the window socially distanced I’m not doing much else today I’m too tired
Oh and I’ve fixed the jet washer that stopped working yesterday. Well I say fixed........I plugged it in (just as it was yesterday) and the fecking thing started to work
Did you use Swiss Tony’s approach??? You know, starting a pressure washer is very much like making love to a beautiful woman. You must first wake her from slumber and <insert euphemism of choice> and that your pipes are <you know where this is going> .......
Some jet washers have a thermal cut out, even though pumping hundreds of litres of water which you think would cool the motor, water is not compressible, so the pump and the electric motor has to work quite hard.
They should be dropping the price at the forecourts as the barrel of crude oil is very weak these days.
I thought that but the jet washer literally had been on for 3 seconds.......certainly no more than 5 seconds.
And to put the tin hat on it SWMBO is now writing up a shopping list so I can go to the Co-Op on the way back. FML
Had fun driving home last night from London to Exeter.... A303 road works created diversions, not a problem. That diversion then took me to another diversion, meaning the A35 was also blocked. So I had to go Weymouth and B157 to Bridport, then A35..... What a ball ache....
