  1. I used an extension bar and universal joint, MAN!

  2. Universal joint, didn’t think about using one of those! I, switching the shock over so may get that off first and then get far easier access.
Almost making me buy a carbon one as, if I ever want one, I won’t ever want to get this off again.

  3. It’s an excuse for buying more tools! I was baffled by how awkward it was to work on initially but after the build it all became easier.

How are you supporting the bike when you remove the shock?

edit - ignore me - I see this has already been discussed!

  4. Luckily I have one already, in fact a couple ;)

ABBA Superbike stand. Got the pins to fit, turned up this week.

  5. Btw how easy is it to swap the shock in these? Looks actually simple...wondering if I’m being lulled in....

  6. Really easy - only lift it high enough to fully extend the shock and no more - or block up the wheel so it doesn’t just drop away - you’ll know you have it right when the bolts just slide out - if you have too much weight on the wheel or it drops away then the bolts still have pressure on them and you will feel it.

  7. Fitted along with a new carbon cover

Gave up on removing the shield in the end. Unscrewing the lambda plug was a ballache for my manly hands. But amazed how easy it came undone :upyeah:

Had some fun trying the get the rhs engine cover off. And gave up, as previous owner has fitted different bolt and threaded the head so another bolt sits outside that I assume was used to hold a cam or something. One for another day!
