Dam orange advert.

  1. This is getting so annoying, every time I refresh the forum I get a full height orange advert covering all thread headers. Any one else ? Might not be logging as much if it continues.

  2. Nope, not here....but I did donate to get ride of the bloody things.......so if I did have it I'd be well pi**ed off.

  3. No not getting it either :-/

  4. That doesn’t sound right. Are you able to post a screen shot?

    Rob.

  5. I am getting it on my mobile Rob, it hasn't don it since I started this thread though.

  7. I don't get it on Opera

  8. What mobile?

Is it a long, tall advert?

  9. Yep long tall black little bu**er. Using Android phone HTC.

  10. Still there?

  11. All ok on iPhone :)

  12. I run Chrome & Adblock. No ads anywhere.

  13. Orange?? It's one of your 5 a day

  14. Well, I can understand why you linked that, but it won't stop me using adblockers. The fact is that I never click through ads, so I don't see the point in letting them spoil my online experience, or letting them expose my computer to the risk of attack.

However I do choose to support several of the sites I frequent by subscriptions/donations even though I already enjoy an ad-free browsing experience with them. For instance I was a regular donor (donator?) to Ducatisti, and no doubt I will be here, in the fullness of time. The offer of ad-free browsing in return for a donation means very little to me, because if a site is useful enough to me, I would donate in any case.

  15. Still appeared this morning.

  16. I'm using an HTC Android on the Orange network, no problems here.

  17. Have you taken time to read the comments on that article, it would seem the writer is very much in the minority in this opinion.
I dont mind the odd subtle advert but some sites have many intrusive flashing/streaming ads that compromise the functionality of the site cuasing it to slow down so much as to make it tedious to use and actually drive me away from using it (are you listening Ducati.ms  ).

  18. DONATE....

No adds and the extra storage space for messages and pictures....win, win.

I'm sure Rob will get to the bottom of your rouge advert tho Steve... Although it's seaming its something unique to you and your handset.

  19. What about clearing cookies etc will that help?

Seem to be ok on google on iPhone
    No big adds at all??
