  1. The nurse that did my leg bandages today said that many of them do shifts at The Vale Hospital in Dursley. She said that is where I will probably go. Shame that shops and cafes aren't open. I'd like a mooch about as I haven't been there for a while and that was just to get a manky passport photo.

Someone needs to be blamed for this as it disrupts my life - mainly in stopping me from getting coffee when I'm out. I've decided to blame the Tories. Why? I have not been vaccinated yet and somebody needs to be blamed!

  2. Erm, wrong thread

Or do you never stop with the angry lefty stuff?

  3. Back on topic guys......

I’m waiting on receiving my appointment for the second jab.

  4. Just booked my two appointments, one later this month the second mid June
Taking my mum for her second jab on Saturday morning
    Things are moving on.

  5. If you look back to the post which I replied to, you will understand. Or at least you should!

Re angry lefty stuff, I think you again misunderstand. Everyone in the country should be outraged that the government has squandered £37Billion (including the £15Billion allocated in the budget a week or so ago). If you aren't, you haven't a clue what's going on, regardless whether you are a lefty, righty, Scottie or any other flavour.

  6. Oi, can’t you read? Back on topic ET said.

Have you had a jab yet? Or two jabs? And what about Covid-19 vaccination injections?

  7. I had an unexpected text on Wed 24 Feb inviting me to book my first vaccination, so I took the first slot available on Thu 25 Feb. I had AstraZeneca. They never gave me a card though, like I've seen others get, with the type of vaccination, batch no. and date on it.

My arm was sore for a few days and I felt a little achy and lethargic for a couple of days, like how you feel when you've got a mild cold.

  11. Interesting that, I've assumed I'll be contacted about booking my second jab nearer the time.

  12. No, they ask you to book the second one when arranging the first.

  13. When I asked after I’d been given my first jab they told me I’d be contacted by email in due course through the Calderdale & Kirklees system that I booked through. However SWMBO was given the opportunity to book both jabs at the same time as she booked hers through the nhs website as she’s classed as a “vulnerable”.

  14. Had a text earlier this week, earlier than I was expecting to be contact given the demographic currently being vaccinated. Anyway tomorrow lunch I will be having my first jab...

  15. Friend sent me a link to see if I could register for mine and I was able to book for the 1st and 2nd jabs. Had my first about a week ago at Epsom Racecourse. Bit of a delay, probably took an hour start to finish as there seemed to be a shift change or new vaccine arriving?

The 2nd is in May at Crawley as I’m guessing the Epsom one will be out of use ready for the Derby.

Two days later I got the letter invitation as well.

No side effects apart from a sore arm.

  16. Just booked mine on Swiftqueue for this Saturday and it automatically gives you a date/time for the second jab 11 weeks later, used the same system to book my elderly mother and uncle, confirmed by text & email so very efficient system!

  17. Swiftqueue seems to be working well in Nottinghamshire. My wife and I booked through them.

  18. Just got 'phoned up by my local surgery. Booked at The Vale Hospital next Thursday for the AZ jab administered by a nurse. So, no long trip to Bath Racecourse for it to be administered by an out-of-work bouncer, or builder, so not being forced to the back of the queue whilst all of the females are let in and no, "ooooowwwsat, Can't get the parts y'know!". This whole thing is turning into a big disappointment! Somebody needs to be blamed and I've picked the Tories. No particular reason - I just happen not to like Tories!
