  3. Hairy minge has hit the nail on the head I think (I’m part American along with a few others. I’m like Heinz 57).

I love a lot of their culture, they generally tend to build people up and get behind people rather than ripping them a new one like we do in Britain

there’s aspects as said that I really like. The positivity can sometimes get a little much though.

  4. The hero worship for Nascar is incredible. Blokes going round and round an oval.... eh?

  5. I find them ridiculously confident too. Too much so. I sometimes think they live in a film they like.

  6. I very nearly moved to the states (Long Island) when me and my ex wife went down the pan. I spend a fairly substantial amount of time per year in the USA. Usually Manhattan and LI.

I do love America. But as you’ve pointed out, it’s not perfect and has its problems/irritants like everywhere.

The wenches seem to love a bit of British meat though. Brucey bonus. And the ratio of porkable crumpet is off the scale!

  7. And all Americans are not yanks. Far from it actually. I’ve lived in a place in America, which I truly found great, where you’d be more in trouble for calling locals « yanks » than « rednecks ». Or even « hillbillies ». They have a fondness for rednecks, in the south. With tons of humor. Like that stupid add for the Chevy Silverado.

  8. Me and the wife did a 3 week road trip in the south in 2019. Absolutely loved it

  9. I lived in the Panhandle (NW Florida aka lower Alabama) for almost 4 years. My youngest boy was born there.

In my very personal opinion, I find America is like a teenager: bold, strong, defiant, mocking, outrageous, stupid, immature, daring, inexperienced, disrespectful, galant, sexy, thrashing, ruthless...

It is sometimes difficult for us people from the « old » Europe. They treat us like their old boring relatives. But they are so stimulating at the same time!

  10. Here’s a glimpse of great southern humor. :joy:

  11. “Coz I drive a chevy bitch”

  12. I found them to be a bit further down the age scale, more like entitled little toddlers, living in a tiny toddlers world, eating toddlers food, just a lot more of it.
I do however admire their patriotism (although it does often border on nationalism) and their enthusiasm. I preferred the US to Oz, by a long way.

  13. The guy with the Pani is just a cock, I've seen a few of his vids, didn't he crash straight away on track??? Clearly too much money and the bike shops are making a killing out of him.

As of the bird, average bod IMO, you would think she'd get that beak sorted though.

  18. I’ve had the chance to relocate there. San Diego. A couple of my mates have, we work for the same company. I’m glad I never went. The yanks just wouldn’t get my (sometimes dark) sense of humour. I don’t think I’d last 5 minutes.

  19. Exactly. A ‘gear head’ as they call them, will buy a McLaren 720S and do nothing other than drag it on an airstrip.... wtf??

  20. Manhattan is ace. I really enjoyed my time there. You need a shed load of cash though.
