  1. Hi. I’m new today and joined as I want to purchase a used Panigale. I’m looking for advice on the best model/year and have a budget of £15,000. Any help or tips appreciated. Cheers James

  2. Hi James and welcome to the forum:upyeah:, you're in the right place for information...hopefully they'll be along in a short while.

  3. You’ll get a new V2 Panigale for £15k. And welcome :)

  4. Does the V2 sound as good ?

  5. Mine does :)

  6. Thanks El

  7. As late as possible 1299S or if you wait a while those panigale R models will come into range :p

  9. Make sure you can insure it, a friend of mine was about to put a deposit down on a V2, sorted his insurance online and then got a call from the insurer the following day quizzing him about what bikes he’d gained his no claims on - because they weren’t litre sports bikes / big engined sports tourers they withdrew the offer - he rang round a few others and they all asked the same question !

  12. What do you want it do do? Road, track, commuting, touring, two-up or solo?
How experienced are you? First bike? Only bike?
Where will you keep it? Garage? Drive? Roadside?
Do you live in a city or a rural location?

Don't overlook the 899/959, great road bikes, fun and usable. £15k would get you an 899/959/1199/1199S/1299/1299S... so you've a lot of options at that kind of budget.

For insurance, I've found BeMoto to be very good.

  13. Think some V4's are coming into that range. V2 is a good shout too, depends what you're after though.

  14. Is your mate young of live in a high risk area? Mines not a lot. I'm 33 with a couple of years no claims. Last bike was a 765rs.

  15. I'm so lucky with insurance I put all my bikes on my traders policy

  16. If it was just for the road then i'd go for a new V2 and you can get them for £14500 new without much haggling. That's the sensible option, but if your not sensible (like me!) then i'd say a 1299S that has all the expensive bits added i.e. Akra system and up map.

  17. That's cheating :p
