Found the culprit It was definitely a fat finger It should have been a like That bike tyre blew me away I even downloaded the pic to show my mate at work Never seen one like that before That's what you call scrubbed in Unlike has been amended accordingly
Cheers. The back story to that picture and the girl’s blouse comment is the Diavel belongs to and is ridden by my girlfriend. The tyre is all her own work ! Andy
Bought it a month ago. Carbon, 2011, with 15.500km.....replacement for Monster 796! Full HpCorse Hydroform exhaust system 1-1 (without exhaust butterfly).....! I simply love it
Got rid of Carbon canister and AIS systems, fitted a load of carbon that I got second hand from a chap in Norway, Powder Coated triple clamps, fitted some ducabike parts and a bit of bling from Roland Sands.
It’s all real carbon... originally from FF carbon in Germany, but I bought it second hand from a chap in Norway. I then ordered a load more from FF, but after 4 months of waiting for it to arrive, I rang them and they said another month... absolutely terrible lead times so I cancelled the lot. A £750 quid order and they couldn’t deliver in a timely fashion. So I got a refund and bought a new exhaust for my Rocket R with the refund.
At least the XD is worth spending money on. I sold mine too hastily last year, but now I am back on a 1260S, I am gonna spend some time/money personlizing this one.....keep us posted with your progress with pics
Also, could I just ask ? What do you think of the Trumper ? They reckon its a Diavel Slayer ? Would you agree ?
Nope.. The XDiavel is faster in every way except maybe roll on in the higher gears. It’s also far more nimble. However the Rocket is more comfortable and relaxing to ride. Much as I like the Rocket, if I could only keep 1 it’d be the Ducati, as it’s just more usable.
Thanks. There is no doubt the Rocket R looks the part. However it looks heavy, and although the Diavel family look heavy too, they are not. In fact they are surprisingly light. I am on my 4th Diavel now, and I am truly addicted to the design, style , finish, sound, & ride. One of the best bikes ever built IMO.....
Nice job, looks good Enoch, like the look of the Zard as well. Still haven't ridden the "X" but still have my gen 1 dark and love it .
Fancied a decent ride today, but had to settle for a couple of hours on local greasy roads. Enjoying the bike more every ride.
