Having gone from a 1098R on which I dropped a tooth on the front, to a V4S, I’d second what Advikaz has said, ride the bike before you look at any changes. I’m quicker on the V4 than the 1098R but only marginally faster. At Almeria where I have ridden both bikes, I can brake later, turn in later and get on the power earlier on the V4. I have yet to red line the engine above 2nd gear and the data is saying I need to spend more time above 11,000rpm when the inlet stacks change length. Not sure I want to experience the heady heights of 16,000rpm. Andy
Can’t comment on mugello or misano but I’ve ridden the V4r at Porto and Jerez and the std gearing is very good, if I were to make any changes I would go up one or two on the rear but to be honest I can’t be arsed! Fine as it is!
If you want to spend money, buy yourself some new quality rear sets, they will make a difference. I have the earlier SBK version of these, https://www.spiderracing.it/prodotto/rearset-ducati-panigale-v4/. Andy
First time I’ve had any of they’re stuff Adam but yeah very impressed with the quality! Also ordered a steering damper bracket all from Brett at RRP! Top fella!
They look Ducati OE. The ones I fitted are the same as used by Tommy Bridewell on his Moto Rapido V4RS. Pictures here, https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/dry-clutch-conversion-anyone.67462/page-2#post-1331015 post #39 Andy
