First thing this morning I cleaned the V2 then ACF50'd it together with the Scrambler (which I cleaned yesterday), and then lubricated the chain to the Scrambler. They are both looking smart and tarty now
I knew someone would say that.......................I'd spilt some water on the drive just before I took the pic.
I'd a loose sprocket carrier on the XL, the cush drives looked fine to me so i manufactured a aluminum washer / shim up today that sits behind the metal washer, it's nice and tight now with no movement unlike the one i made yesterday out of a old paint tin.......that mechanics course is paying dividends now.
Just nipped into the garage to stick my baffles in and put the barn door number plate on my 1098R. MOT tomorrow. Haven’t ridden it since September 2019.
I was going to say he clearly knows his onions and now that it’s spring, ET needs to take it for a chive around the block to make sure.
Got the 821 sorted with an MOT, ready to rock and roll now.......nearly there, if you look closely there is even a bin in the shot!
1098R passed with no advisories, as expected. The MOT chap did say “Well...there’s a fail for a start...” to which I said “What is??” He said the rear indicators were not spaced far enough apart. I said “Absolutely no way....you told me that at the last MOT so I moved them apart to 180mm between centres....” He got his tape measure out and said “Bastard...you’re right!” And we all had a jolly good laugh. I forgot how farking mental that bike is...quick squirt up the dual carriageway in my jeans and jacket...my my...pokey!
I had to go in the garage to get the hosepipe out for the front lawn, and as I was in there I patted them both lovingly
My S4R just failed on this due to its flush fit indicators so I now have to go through the farce of taking it home, fitting longer indicators, going back to the testing station so he can nod it through, then ride home again to do the whole process in reverse.
Got mine back from detailing. Had a PPF job on it. Then I fitted tank protector gel and stomp grips. And check out the GT2RS getting a PPF
