  1. Cheers ET. No brainer....it was either take the money (7.5k) and get something else - the only other bike i like at the moment is the gen3 Superduke...cant afford one...and ive done quite a bit to mine already..

  2. I’ve loved seeing the progress on the rebuild. I’m in complete awe of the skills you and others like you have. :)

  3. Having been a good boy over the lockdown, and needing to use up my last two holiday days by the end of the month I went for a lovely 200 mile ride yesterday and another 100 today. Oh what a bloody joy to be out on the bike again:D Also got to try out my new lid. Happy Days!! 20210331_104401.jpg

  7. Brittany Ferries over zealous strapping down. Still comfortable though! It looks a lot worse in the photo than it actually is

  8. Wow, I used to carry a bit of foam padding
to protect the seat from the over enthusiastic ferry staff.
Good to see some happy battle scars though!
    :)

  9. Well, some of the lads on the zed forum wanted me to do a build vid - ive got zero editing skills so just hit record and talk (mostly bollocks but here you go)....

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_mli8rZC0OS_fZPkAChfxw/videos

Its a beautifully simple bike to work on....from the 1st vid another couple of hours and i could have had the swing arm and engine out...its the best bike ive ever had....

Skills wise there are loads more lads on here that could put me to shame...

  10. Yeah and i was born in Barrow-In-Furness..!

  11. Watched the first 4 vids. Ace :upyeah:

  12. They did use a foam pad, also unfortunately about 150 ft lbs of torque on the ratchet strap!!!

  13. Tell me about it. The gorilla working for the same company, who ratcheted up my bike, done it so hard and in the wrong direction, that the rear wheel came off the deck . And then when it was time to disembark, the strap couldn’t be undone so they ended up cutting through it with a knife. Fortunately it wasn’t the same gorilla wielding the dagger.
But on the plus side, my seat did eventually come back into shape.

  14. I've been online and taxed one other bike this morning as the weathers getting better, the bastards now charge £96.00 for over 600cc.

  15. Both like and dislike!

  16. Sitting at home this morning awaiting the delivery of Sunday lunch courtesy of Jose Pizzaro. The APC tracking app is great, I can see where the delivery van is, what stop number they are on and what my stop number is. Slightly less enthralling, blood test and chest x-ray this afternoon. I haven’t coughed up blood again for nearly a week so hopefully whatever the problem was, it’s going/gone away (please, please, please, fingers crossed :D) I do know my blood pressure is misbehaving so after the blood test results get back to the Doctor, I’m expecting a call.
