  2. hi neil tidy kmx i used to have a kdx125and wished i had never sold it it was a great fun bike and never missed a beat even with my young totally ham fisted riding and maintenance at the time.

  3. Nice one. Used to have a kmx200 - brilliant bike, flawless and not a bit of bother through sun, hail, rain and snow (until some scrote nicked it).

does it have the old kipper valve? Iirc the 125 has it, but needs the servo and bits adding.

  4. Nice bike, my bro used to have a KMX200, which a mate now owns. Great little bikes and can cut it on the green lanes

  5. just read the write-up on your KMX as never even seen one before. I have one of these :- [IMG]

  6. First bike I bought, good little bike enjoyed it before it got nicked from outside my girlfriends house - the bar-stewards.

    Cheers Gaz

  7. Thanks for all the comments guys. efcbluepete it does have the KIPS valves - been trying to find out if/how
it's restricted? It's a very early 1986 A1 model and not many seen in white, there all green or black mainly. Just tried to
keep it as close to original as possible. trying to press on and get finished so I can start my 750ss, finding it hard to
loacte a good tank so will have to repair mine with POR15. Will do a build thread when I get started.

  8. If memory serves me correctly, the kips runs off a servo motor that varies with throttle position. The valve on the 125 is in a fixed position that acts as a restrictor. Not sure how to change its position to de restrict, but I believe the servo set up from the 200 bolts almost straight on. This is all from memories that are around 20 years old, so not likely to be totally reliable.

  9. Progress update

Can get on with the SS then.
