Full exhaust system info required

  1. Hey all
looking some info on full exhaust systems
was gonna buy a temi system off Ducati,as my bike is brand new and not here yet i thought id get ahead and plan and more plan the trick i wanna add,
    so my question is
what system is the best to buy and has everyone remapped there systems in some form or other as i heard horror stories that they run too lean and burn valves out
i would love the temi but find it too long and i dont want to start cutting a 1500£ system to shortin it when there is so much more exhausts out there
    cheers people :upyeah:

  2. Quat d,best lookin, best sounding and the most money with a remap and I am a full termi owner

  3. Gone with QD and fatducs (no remap) - very happy with the result!

  4. If you ask me the fat ducks dont make so much difference...losing the ex valve and "2 ton" cat box makes a big difference. I run a MIVV ghibli and am happy! But dont get the insert baffle....sucks airflow. The Ghibli has a noise limiter and without it is loud and mean!

  5. Oh forgot to say if you go for the full termi allow for a new indicator and number plate every 1000 miles, but on the plus side its sounds fecking awesome not to far off the qd

  6. Fatducs made a noticeable difference to mine - my other half even mentioned it

  7. Totally disagree.
They make a huge difference and the biggest bang for your buck.
Much smoother down low, but not perfect...hence I'm selling mine and splashing out £600sobs for a complete remap with Chris.
Complete LeoVince decat and carbon end can....love it!
I think the Termi is ugly (i've termis on the 998S and they are awesome).
Love the Quad D, never heard them but they look great, but too rich for my wallet.

  8. love to hear your thoughts once its done as this is a route I have my eye on

  9. Quat D on mine. No fat ducs or remap and couldn't be happier. New engine is super smooth so not a problem.

  10. I've gone with another full termi on my (yet to be delivered) 2013 Multi.

I ran a full termi on my last Multi and was happy with the sound, weight saving and fueling at low revs.

I have not heard other systems but agree with others that its perhaps not the prettiest!

  11. I went for a MIVV Suono looks great, not to long, great sound & massive weight saving over original with cat.
I also went for free flowing air filter & its currently in the dyno shop getting a power commander fitted with a bespoke remap.
I'll will let you know what difference it all makes.
I think in the end it was the looks & cost which made me go for the MIVV.

  12. +1 and DP Airfilter. VERY happy. Again, no remap.

  13. ....I have a K&N filter which I forgot to mention

  14. how badly does an aftermarket exhaust effect the fuel economy? someone I spoke with said its not worth it just for the noise?

  15. I am averaging 40 mpg and I certainly don't think about that when I'm riding if you catch my drift...

  16. very true, Bob I had to put my standard cans on my 996 for MOT and took them straight off afterwards, the Mutley is quite loud standard and I have to wear ear plugs so must be a lot noisier

  17. Mine passed it's MOT with the QD system (baffles in!)

  18. my MOT tester has Duke's and nows that the Termi has race only stamped on top of cans, and says he cannot endorse such thing, could be eaiser to go elsewhere, but he does a very thorough MOT, the only other thing with After market Mutley exhausts is that I think they look unfinished as you see all the pipe etc, ( just a personal thing )

  19. buff it off, my local MOT station says that will work, bikes less than a year old so not tested them out but I don't expect any problems

  20. It polishes off very easily
