So you know how I’m too big for a 600? well, approximately 12 hours ago whilst full of gin, I’ve put a 3 man team together (so far) and all being well purchased a little yzf125 that’ll soon be getting cartwheeled over the tyre barriers. first race is 8th May at Teeside. I can’t wait to be lapped by a bunch of 13 year olds
Bet you’re pleased you didn’t buy a Suzuki ! https://www.ukclubsport.com/multiple-gsx-r125-wheels-collapse-at-whilton-mill-races/
"Contacted Suzuki for comment" hmm... we will see how that goes! I can already picture though Suzuki UK calling Al Fagan and informing him that comments regarding the safety of the wheels in a 44teeth video will be subject to legal action... They'll go after someone like 44teeth because they have the platform where it could damage Suzuki's rep. Anyway, good luck! looks like a great series, The Farside guys are riding in it so was following and have to say the coverage was superb! Hopefully it will attract some small sponsors and make it cheap racing. The only slight concern was the depth of field from superbike riders to guys who were 20seconds slower around the same kart track that only had a 1min lap.
It’s fully carnage. Loads of good club racers and bsb front runners and then you’ve got a team full of riders that once rode a chicken chaser across their uncles field.
Sounds like a proper laugh without the expense and pressure of big bike racing! Keep us posted buddy!
Did you buy the Yammy on account of your Rossi fandom or so you weren’t mistaken for the ‘The Baron’?
Will do mate. I’ll be surprised if the bike makes it past quali with the reprobates I’ve got as team mates ha up to 4 now.
Good luck, if I hadn’t already put down for going to watch a little flat track racing in Norfolk.........
A fair amount of the grid haven’t raced anything before. Some have barely ridden a bike matey. so basically in this racket, you’re semi pro
