Dealer offered to buy back my 848

  1. I'll consider all used bikes, just want to avoid the initial hit of buying new. Ideally mid £8ks for a dealer bike, low £7ks for private. Haven't looked at what Corse's go for so haven't got an idea of what I'd pay for one yet.

  2. Righto.......just that i know there are a couple of 848 Evo Corse SE's around 2011/2012 reg's but they're around the £11.5k mark. If I see anything I'll let yo know.

  3. You bast**d I'm trying to keep those thoughts out of my brain...

  4. Its possible ET. It'd have to be the red/white/black one. I really dislike the grey/black Corse (sorry to anyone who has one). Would be nice to have factory warranty left and a no servicing for a while. One thing that sold the bike I bought was that it was low milage (1500), had the belt service and brand new tires, so was basically service free for 2 years (unless I really piled on the miles, which actually was pretty likely I since found out :upyeah:)

  5. Ignore the little willy 1098 brigade, just be happy in the knowledge that an 848 will satisfy every need

  6. Well I know that Ducati Manchester have one and SMC in Sheffield had one about three weeks ago. (Both red, white and black ones).

Might be worth having a word with your local dealer and see if they can get one for you if they haven't got one themselves.

  7. Ducati Manchester corse se 2012 £10750 looks lovely

  8. That's been reduced in the past week then

ps It is in good condition too :upyeah:

  9. Mate seriously if you are along questions a week into ownership, whether a bad bike or not, get a 1*98 or at least a long test ride on one. Seems like karma it's going back to me

  10. Private seller on auto trader £10450 new style termis as well

  11. Where's the Corse on Ducati manchester's site, I can't see it??

  12. I found it on auto trader site

  13. I was a power hungry madman, that's why! First sports bike I'd ridden let alone a Ducati, lets say I've matured a bit in the three weeks since owning one

But I'd love to ride a 1x98, and the teenager in me still wants a litre bike in the garage, but I think the 848 is enough.

  14. Ah probably gone then if its not on their site. Will look into it tomorrow though.

  15. Still can't find the bugger! What am I doing wrong... but there's another one, 2012, 400 miles for 10,994. So basically new.

edit: ok found the manchester one now. Looks nice!

  19. Send it back then go ride a 1098, its a proper, top of the line road bike, the 848 is a race engine in a cheap suit.

And if we're talking 10k you can have an S with shiny gold bits

  20. eBay- spanking 848 road legal track bike- £8.5. Quite a few trick bits on it.

With regards to yours. Sell it. I wouldn't buy it with that damage, no matter how small.
