  1. £621  I think I’d be getting it repaired and painted.

Oh and I’d use the money I’d saved to buy a new lid too

  2. I would be buying a new helmet.

  3. I dropped my Enduro outside Ducati Coventry, when it stalled as I was moving off on full lock. Crash bars and rear peg took the brunt and just £20 for a new RH indicator lower panel! Guess that was a lucky escape?

  4. Already ordered one :D My wife wasn't too happy with the idea of the crack in the shell and forced my hand. To be frank, 10 years ago I'd have not bat an eye... But, life is valuable so no point crying over spent money.

  5. Hilarious. It took a woman to make you see sense.

  7. If the bike fell due to a faulty side stand, I’d be asking for a contribution from Ducati at the very least.

  8. Good woman. You know it makes sense.:)

  9. Similar incident on Friday, meeting a mate and rushed back home for something I forgot. Back pedaling off the drive, slight slope and went to put my foot down on the downhill slope (its an 1260 Enduro) and Im only 5'9". Downhill slope was further away than I had hoped and went passed the centre of balance, The horrible moment when you know it's going, massive input to try and stop it, but no luck, we both went over, more damage to me than bike, deep muscle in leg and very severe shoulder bruising. Brand new Arai x4, luckily didnt touch down, but bloody hell, no way could I lift it until help arrived. A few scratches to the bike (£250) and a massive knock of confidence. Even thought of selling it for something lower :-(

  10. It's happened now, now you'll be even more careful and won't risk it again. Keep it and love it :)

Also, I bent the foot rest gear level, but that's a simple job to do my self (the tank fairing, whilst possible, I still haven't moved into my new house yet and don't have the space nor lighting to pull all the fairings off). I bought the bits (bushings, washers and peg) from here: https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/

Not the first time I've used them and they are genuine Ducati parts. Might be much cheaper to replace what you scuffed on yours.

  11. I lost my footing parking up in London, a seriously oily bit of street, had to lay the bike down, once it had gone past the point of no return, that's it.
A small scuff and a broken hand protector, no big deal but it has made me very aware of how top heavy they can be.
