  1. Aren’t they saying vaccination doesn’t stop it spreading, but it reduces the chances of hospitalisation.

  2. totally agree re: lives, not forgetting the current state in Brazil, you only have to look at the news tonight from any media news source to see the devastating effect the virus 2nd wave is having on India, with a record amount of deaths per day and virtually every single intensive care bed occupied by Covid patients.

  3. Which are?

  4. Social distancing etc.

Maybe what needs developing is a ‘common sense’ detector. The times I have been any shops very few people seem to keep to the 2m distancing.

  5. No, they are saying that vaccination reduces the number of people who pass the virus. It lowers the viral shedding which in turn reduces the infection rate and severity for others. It doesn't eliminate it altogether but every little helps right?

Re the vaxx effects on infected people, it massively lowers hospitalisation & death on the current viruses.

  6. Which means that people in RTA's, acute appendicitis, accidents of any type, complicated childbirth, stroke or heart attack et al have no ICU available to them. What a tragedy.

  7. Thing is, when you’ve got a totally useless government and media in the U.K. who thrive on scare mongering and bull shit.

It’s hardly surprising that lots of the population don’t give a shit is it.

You can’t really state that most people have nothing to worry about with covid, and then have a media stating that everyone is going to die whilst having a government pulling more U turns than the worlds driving instructors and still expect people to take you or it seriously.

  8. I work with the nhs and that’s news to me mate. Which says it all really.

I’m aware that what you say is the idea (on paper) but from what I gather there’s nothing concrete on it as the data is still exceptionally noisy.

  9. You might be right. On that basis what chance is there that after a few beers these people will socially distance?

  10. Thats where common sense comes in I believe.

  11. Obviously I'm no expert but reports from Israeli med profession & a study done in Scotland support this idea. Its early days and no one in their right mind will stake their reputation on it 100% but the signs are there. Clearly at least 60% of the population must be vaxxed to achieve a significant reduction in transmission achieving "herd immunity" . Though have a look at this?

Here's a quote I kept from chatting with some others about this.

“The data is certainly intriguing and suggestive that vaccination may reduce the infectiousness of COVID-19 cases, even if it does not prevent infection altogether,” says Virginia Pitzer, an infectious-diseases modeller at Yale School of Public Health in New Haven, Connecticut.

  12. yep, not arguing with you mate. I’m a bit tired of it all to be honest. I genuinely think that the majority of these extremely well paid ‘experts’ haven’t got a clue most of the time.

it’s easy to poke holes in things like this. But when so many ‘normal’ people can and could see that many of the decisions and legislation and data was totally shit, yet the experts are still ramming it down our throats. It’s a very sad time for humanity.

It’s like growing up in one of those households where your dads an arsehole, and rules by fear. He’s mostly wrong about most things, but you still have to do what you’re told regardless of how ridiculous it all is. He can’t be wrong, because he’s the overlord.

  14. Oh yeah, cause I'm gonna believe what a gov website says ?!? It's been stated by many many virologist and scientists that masks do fk all. I'm saying there's been no flu cause everything is put down as covid. The numbers of deaths from covid is utter bullshit and if you buy what msm and gov are telling you, then may I suggest you try Google and start digging down the rabbits hole to find out what this is really all about, cause it sure as shite ain't about a bug.

  15. Oh come on Viv, you actually buy that??

  16. In what respect to masks "do fuck all"? I'm curious!

By the way there has been flu deaths. Quite alot.

  17. Show me evidence that masks work? Show me evidence that lockdowns work? Cause all I'm seeing is a spike in deaths for old people during times when seasonal flu normally hits. It's warming up and it's spring time now so the deaths drop off, what a massive surprise. Do you think it will increase again in the autumn and winter? I'm betting it will. The bug is BS, the numbers are utter BS and most of what your being told is fear mongering by the bullshit broadcasting company. How can you not see this for what it truly is? Money, power and social control. Even Boris and his scientists at the very start said masks do fk all, then they all did a U- turn cause the sheep like public went mental on social media. Wake up uk, you're being played

  18. So are you going to tell me what the masks don't do? I really don't know why you keep saying there were no flu deaths as there were.

  19. Ok, “we” seem to be going off topic. The politics of the pandemic have been done to death in other threads.

This thread is quite specific simply asking “Who’s Had Their Cv19 Vaccination And Which Did You Have?”. Let’s leave this thread to answer those questions only please.

  20. Had my first dose of AZ yesterday at about 6:00pm and so far so good. Bit of discomfort in my upper arm, other than that, I don't know if it's just in my mind but since the jab it feels as if I can detect a slightly different taste in my mouth now and again, other than that all good... at the moment and long may it continue!
