1200 Help - How Do I Operated The Headlight!!

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Suffolk Duke, Apr 28, 2021.

  1. Just bought a 2014 Multi 1200 PP but can't work out how to operate the headlight! The switch that I would think would change from dipped to high beam operates the computer and I can't find out anything in the manual. Please help!

  2. The headlight and rear light should come on with the ignition?

  3. It always-on with high beam on lhs switch

  4. Sorry should have been clearer - yes they do come on but how do I operate high beam?

  5. I have tried the left hand switch but can't make the high beam come on.

  6. I haven't got one but every modern Ducati does not give you the option of turning it off! It should come on when the ignition is turned on. It may go out after a few seconds if the engine is not started but there is no switch to switch off the lights!

  7. Does the pass light work?

  8. Read the manual! Or could be the bulb!!!

  9. The headlight comes on with the ignition but I can't find out how to turn the high beam on/off. I have looked through the manual and only found how to adjust the beam height. I can't find out which switch operates high beam - should be obvious really!

  10. Yes the indicators work fine. Front headlight, rear light and brake light all fine.

  11. I don't think there is a problem, just me!

  12. If you mean the switch that turns the high beam on while you press it - yes it does.

  13. Does it hold down when you let go?

  14. That switch also goes up and down as well as in and out. Push it vertically down and you should go from high to low. Andy

  15. The flash light switch just works when pressed only - like on previous bikes. Are you saying this switch should turn high on/off?

  16. Press and push the switch down at the same time gives you fixed high beam

    Did on my 2010 multi.

  18. I meant if you pull the pass switch with your left index finger does high beam come on. If not, bulb gone so no switch will work. If it does, either switch faulty or you haven’t found the right switch !

Should all be in owners manual though?

  19. Answer above - you flick the pass switch down or forward (can’t remember which) to stay on
