  2. If I had the money I would buy a V2 for road and track. Unlike some on here :)p) I can't justify 5 bikes!!

I took some advice and cranked the TC up to fanny mode and took her out for a spin with my mate on the V2. This was in my mind our last ride together and I was going to ride the V2 again. I had taken all the for sale photos before the ride so I was prepared.

I went out and instantly felt in control, the beast had been tamed. Had a great ride and forgot about all the things I didn't like and started to enjoy everything about it. Not once did I think about the V2 or ask to ride it.

By the time I got home my mind was made up, I'm keeping the RSV. I'll now get the suspension set to my weight and I'll keep tinkering with the TC.

  6. That’s a tuff one..... I really regret selling my 959 and moving up to the V4.... It’s just not necessary unless your doing countless track days. The 959 though was a sublime road bike with real would usable power.... and felt very special. More so than my V4..... just keep them both:D

  8. Glad you sorted out the dilemma..... the Apes a stunning bike and can only imagine a slight handful. It’s definitely worth persevering with and working around the things your concerned about. You need to play around with the settings and find a suitable platform. Even ergonomics come into play! If your not comfortable on a bike it’s not going to fill you with the confidence to ride it fast. I did the same with my V4! Really didn’t gel with it at first. In fact I could definitely ride faster, harder and more precisely on the 959! The problem was it was so highly modified that performance and handling gains were off the scale and totally transformed it. Totally the opposite on the V4. Power is nothing without control! Get yourself dialled in first. Adjust things to suit and then start trying different options with suspension and power levels. Write stuff down so you have a reference. It worked for me:upyeah: mines still totally crazy.... I’ve just managed to make it easier to ride with some tweaks. :)
