Fitted a pair of CNC Racing rearsets I got from a forum member for a decent price. Got them fitted the other day but then thought they’d look better in semi gloss black. Paint turned up this morning and as luck would have it, I couldn’t got to work. While at it, I painted the scabby looking rear rocker and tie rod too. Think it looks better in black...
Collected the DT175 which, despite being described as “perfect” by the seller when I bought it blind during lockdown, is now, 5 months later, finally running properly after replacing the cheap Chinese carb with a refurb OE item and a decent secondhand exhaust. Riding it home was v painful though due to suspected dislocated left middle finger.
@Cream_Revenge, 100 mile run out today to bed the new tyres and discs in. Mixture of fast B, country and rural roads. I like them, plenty of feel, predictable and progressive. Had no need to anchor up at any stage but they gave me confidence. Fitted new Brembo SR's (the SC with a new part number) which I am also very happy with. Andy
Scrubbed in today, awesome tyre. Genuinely not sure if I need the M9RRs now, the Roadtec 01SEs are great fun and I do think that the Hyper 950 SP forged Marchesinis made a difference. Andy
Went out on the smoker to buy some new kit from my local J&S. With the exception of one staff member, what a miserable bunch of cvnts they were. Still, at least the journey there and back proved the old adage "you can have more fun going fast on a slow bike than you can going slow on a fast bike"
Perhaps you dropped your monthly wageslip in the changing rooms and after viewing that they're completely deflated with life.
Took the Ninja 1000sx for a demo ride as I thought it would be a great replacement for the Tiger 1050se , unfortunately the riding position was a lot sportier than I had envisaged , my neck and shoulders were aching within half an hour , it was a shame as everything else about the bike was great .
Almost 7,000 miles on mine now, it’s my workhorse / tour bike, it’s been great, pity it doesn’t fit you well, it’s a brilliant all rounder
I have had my eye on one for a while , everything else about the bike was great , I need something with a similar or more upright riding position than the Tiger 1050se , no heavier , no taller 825mm seat height max , similar or better power , don't mind twin , triple or inline 4 , not worried about brand , needs to have hard panniers .

Spent all day working on my 900 Supersport; Changed the fork oil, lubricated all the cables (the ones that go round as well as the ones that go back 'n' forth), greased the steering head bearings, cleaned and greased the front brakes, lubricated all the switches, etc, etc. Also did a modification to the indicator switch; I always thought it felt a bit loose and not very accurate. Turns out that the lever is not actually attached to anything. It has two brass washers/bushes type of things and a small set screw that holds them together. The lower bush sits in a hole on the metal plate within the switchgear housing and the lever is loosely held in place from above by the other, larger metal plate. I simply used a longer screw and put a nut on the underside of it (circled yellow)- now it feels much more secure and accurate. Ducati seem to have these odd quirks at times.
