After 5 years of ownership its time for something else. Figured I would try it here first before braving the chancers on ebay. I Purchased this from J&L in carlisle in 2015 and have only done a few thousand miles since. Currently 26k on the clock Mot until 31/08/21 - no advisorys. Missed the 2018 Mot as I was bobbing around Nepal on an Enfield. Serviced myself a qualified motorcycle engineer since ownership and with a decent dealer history beforehand. During last years lockdown had a reasonable amount of time spent on a refresh including: Belts and valves with exactstart belts from Exige. Closers were on the edge of the checking tolerance so I would plan to reshim these whenever they are next done. Front pads and fluid flushed. Oil and filter. Coolant flushed. Fuel filter - including replacing the cheesium filter bolts. Tps reset. New battery this month. Head bearings done around 22K miles. Tyres chain and sprockets all were changed 1k miles ago so plenty of life left. Suspension setup by Alpha suspension in Morley for 11/12 stone rider. 2 keys and code card. Sensible upgrades include: Termignoni end can and the ecu. - Stock can included. Ohlins du511 - much better than the stock unit which is sprung for about 16 stone, I do also have a loose Ohlins 19/70 spring that I had intended to fit and can supply as extra if you are a similar 11 stone.- Stock shock included. Quick action throttle - nothing mad but it takes the slack out and feels much crisper. Aftermarket front pegs- the originals will be included and aren't damaged but they are slippier than a buttered banister hence the change. Led sidelights- if i'm honest I dont like the colour of these but they are drastically more robust than the standard bulbs. Ride height adjuster. Carbon rear hugger. Can provide the licence code for service software tied to the ecu. Bad points: The tank drain pipe is faulty, this caused some minor marks to the fuel fuel tank paint. It hasn't degraded since it initially occurred a few years ago. I've tried to show this properly in the photos but it doesn't photo well. Various age related wear again i've tried to show this honestly in the photos. Small black lug on the underseat panel appears to be damaged. Like many bikes its been sat for the the best part of a year and occasionally dies on a closed throttle when at idle, seemingly fairly common for Ducs of this generation. I've tried to be as honest as possible so please don't turn up and offer me the change down the back of your sofa. It's not a garage queen minter but it is the cheapest online and looks/rides ace. Obviously no warranty implied and cash in hand for test rides. If it doesn't sell i'm planning to take the extras off and offer it for £4800, its a decent deal with them included though to save me having to take them off. Bike is located in LS18 Thanks for looking.
Just a quick update I reset the tps yesterday to save new owner from doing so and noticed the new battery appears to be leaking onto its terminal slightly. I've contacted the battery vendor to get a refund/replacement so will either fit a new one before sale or knock the £55 price of the battery off. It does run with the current battery so no issues viewing etc before the new one arrives.
