My new 749

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by xivlia, Jun 20, 2013.

  1. Well..i got it two weeks ago, so i wouldnt call it new now.. but its about time i put it up on here :)

i got it from a private seller for 2600 pounds, the bike is a 2004 749 Dark model with 4800 miles on the clock. if your asking why its cheap? well because it was recorded as CAT D in 2010, two owners ago. The owner i bought it from had replaced the damaged fairings with carbon fiber with a matte finish. i did a few things myself, such as:-

    - Open carbon clutch cover
    - New clutch hub, springs and spring caps
    - Fabbri DB screen Dark tinted
    - 6000k HID conversion kit
    - Oberon red fork adjusters
    - Red reflective rim tape (most people don't like it, but i do)
    - I also ordered red pressure plate, but it hasn't arrived yet.

    here are some pics :)

  9. Nice bike mate, I used to have a black one.

  10. Carbon fairing looks nicely made and sets the bike off well. Not convinced about the reflective wheels tapes although if you ride at night, they are clearly helpful ...

  11. I'm not a fan of carbon but that's doing it properly :upyeah:
