Next Week I am flying up to Seattle, WA. to pick up a 2015 Multi 1200s for a friend, and riding it down the coast on Highway 1/101 to the San Francisco Bay Area first, then ultimately down to Santa Barbara, where it will live. The Multi only has 9,200 miles on it, and is being serviced now with new belts and oil change by the selling dealership ... so it will be ready for the 1,300 mile journey. I've been bugging this friend for the past 6 months to get a Multi so that he can join us on long trips ... glad we found him a super clean one.
Hard job but someone has to do it. I once had to ride my chums 748 SPS back from Belgium after he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon They were moving back to the uk and he didn’t trust the shipping company. There was only one snag, it was November and freezing cold, I didn’t have any decent gear to wear just his one piece leathers. I was stopping at every services to warm my hands up under the toilet hand dryers!
It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it, well done for taking up the challenge (hope your mate paying for the fuel?)
Having had a go on a few different ones, the 2015-18 1200S is a sweet spot in the Multistrada range. I do like the 1260 Pikes Peak though.
Have to agree on that, the forged PP wheels are very nice. Was assuming that for some reason that this one had one of those on the rear, my bad.
From my own very recent experience, the Hypermotard 950SP Marchesini forged wheels fit the 1200 Multistrada very nicely, look awesome and are such an improvement over the OE cast iron ones. Andy
cast iron? really? I think you might be wrong on that ... but then again, who knows how your Multi came from the factory ;-)
