Hi there, take a look at my money pit

  1. The tank breather is purely visual, I found a proper two piece threaded non return check valve in the garage, hacksawed the threads off and stuck it onto the tank with double sided tape. I winced at the thought of letting my fists of ham and fingers of butter go anywhere near the tank with a holesaw on a drill lol

  2. Love it...

  3. Hahaha I just thought it'd look good and in my eyes it does :)

  4. Very nice, love the colour scheme!
Would also like to see a pic of that rear brake lever fitted ;)

I only fitted that as the standard one looked shite compared to the anodised black DP rearsets. I bought the rearsets secondhand off eBay hence the lack of matching brake lever.

  6. Looks fantastic. Big thumbs-up from me :upyeah:

  7. The fact its primarily a road bike is just brilliant!!! i really like road based race reps! Fantastic work!

  8. It's a big :upyeah: from me, some very cool touches apart from the images of a toilet pan on the fairing

  9. It's all about taking the piss as much as you can!!! It's not the most practicle road bike from a comfort point of view but its all worthwhile!!

Edit: By toilet pan on the fairings, I assume you mean the numbers in/on the numberboards? lol

  10. Aye , my first thoughts were that she was an 848 Challenge bike till I saw the rear light, really like the paint scheme & discreet manufacturers logos.

  11. Its a 17 btw, but I like the idea of it being a toilet pan lol

  12. Think it looks fab. Also think it indeed looks like a money pit. Which is fine if you have some money to throw in the pit. Currently I haven't. But if I did...

  13. I'm in the same boat too, I even offered a sacrificial lamb to the pit but it didn't work :(

  14. Fantastic, really can't see why anyone would dislike it!! It's very different and to my eyes, very tastefully done, well done bud :upyeah:

  15. Really like it, smart! :upyeah:

  16. Cool. I presume it (the Avanti rear brake lever) all works ok and you're happy with it?

  17. No idea if it works mate, I never use the back brake lol. It holds me steady at traffic lights and level crossings when stood on an incline, lol. The fit is exactly the same as the standard, all you need to do is transfer the brake light switch pin and the mounting pin for the rose joint which opperates the piston.

  18. So you *do* use the back brake then! ;)
No worries, was just interested ... I am Avanti btw, so was fishing for feedback!

  19. Looks the dogs would be well happy with that if it were mine.

How do you find the super pole seat ?

  20. Ah fair enough, lol yeah I'm pleased with it mate, the finish is A1 but I did have to rub the toe peg eccentric a little to get it to slot in nicely, maybe the anodising was a little custardy that day lol. It certainly looks a damn sight better than the cheap looking OEM part.

With regards the superpole seat, it's awesome. My knees weren't coming into contact with the stomp grip with the original seat but now I'm say an inch higher it's perfect, plus you are sat in a more poised and focused position. You also don't slip to the back under keen acceleration and applying copious amounts of braking force no longer results in a fuel tank/ball bag & mutton dagger interface.
