{ went up 2 on the rear and down 1 on the front Monster 1200. Smooths out the ride at cruising speeds, and makes for easy riding in traffic. A lot less time clutch slipping.
Well, latest delivery date is now end of January 2021, good I job I ordered it in September ! Come on Renthal, you've got to be having a laugh now !!
7 months for it to arrive if it arrives in March , that’s even worse than good old MV Augusta . Cancel the order and source one from somewhere else who actually has it in stock.
I've been sorely tempted, but until the forks are back from Maxton I can't ride it anyway. Then I need some descent weather so for the time being I'm not too bothered. In fairness to the Sportsbikeshop I think it's Renthal themselves that are holding things up.
Got fed up waiting, so cancelled my order with Sportsbikeshop & bought one off Ebay. Hopefully I won't live to regret this move. I think I was more than patient, waiting since early last September when I palced my order for two sprockets. No idea why it was taking so long. I also changed my mind & went for a 39T instead of the standard 37T option, again, hopefully that will be a good decision. I'd like to think by next weekend it'll be back on the road & MoT'd again.
The saga continues, ................... Seller on Ebay sent me an email saying they were having difficulty sourcing my sprockets, (even though they were advertising them !!) & that they were going to be delayed a while ! In the meantime I got an email from Sportsbikeshop saying they were sorry about the delay & here's £25 off your next order. Very kind of them I think, (in a nice way, not sarcastic way !) so cancelled my order with the Ebay seller & re-oredered with Sportsbikeshop using my discount. At least their reasons for the delay tallied with what the Ebay seller was telling me ! Anyway, today I get an update email from Sportsbikeshop, delivery is now not until August ! Seeing as how my original order was made in September 2020, it's now looking like it will be over a year before I get my Renthal sprockets. Me thinks it's time to look at other options
I've ordered an AFAM chain and sprockets kit from Bike Torque Racing earlier today via EBAY, but have had confirmation it's been sent. https://www.biketorqueracing.co.uk/parts.htm Supersprox and Sportsbikeshop didn't have what I needed and were super expensive. Bike Torque were very helpful on the phone with my stupid questions, and even pointed me at their Ebay shop for a surprisingly large discount on their store price. Nasher.
Sprocket & chain are now fitted & it's all ready for the wheel alignment check, which I'll do tomorrow.
