Timely step in Rob. Well done. We can do without such tedious bullshit here...btw Rob, on my screen the site clock is an hour slow....
No, I posted some facts, a month or more ago, in answer to a post. As yet, I havent slagged anyone off, suggested they cant afford your "superior products", suggested anything works better than it does nor suggested a product has NEVER failed, whin in my experience....and lets face it, thats all I am quoting from, it clearly has. End of.
Don't want to get shot down in flames here as it is nothing to do with me, but ! As an unbiased owner I was one of the first to buy a can from Austin Racing when they were released on the Af1 forum. I was very pleased with the quality, fit and sound of the exhaust and it drew admiring looks from other RSV4 owners wherever I went. I made a video of my bike for youtube and it has has nearly 1 million hits with many other owners asking about the exhaust and sending me emails/messages commenting on how they bought one of these exhausts and it was the best thing they could have done. None of them have commented to me on having any problems at all. They are quite loud mind but the supplied insert can sort that, if you prefer !!!! I had a healthy increase in power but did not have an alternative to compare with so cannot comment on that. I know there was an issue on Af1 but it was mainly because the Mods deemed that Austin Racing was advertising on the forum when they do not allow it. This was at a time when no manufacturer had an exhaust out for the RSV4 so all the members were willing 'Rich' to get something finished and the response was great when his finished product was pictured. A few 'doubters' then got stuck in and it did get way out of hand for no real reason, a lot of the bickering was caused by another manufacturer in the US who eventually made their peace. I have never myself heard of any of their exhausts blowing apart and when I spoke to Chris Burns at Croft he was singing the praises of the exhausts and the rearsets. I was commenting on how I had them on my bike and he was telling me how nice they products were. I do not know David so cannot comment on his views but I hope this does not start getting like a witch hunt like the Af1 forum turned out. Rich seems to have gone from making one exhaust for his own bike to building a good solid business which is great in these dificult times so as far as I am concerned good luck to him. Another manufacturer means more choices for us buyers, everyone has their own taste so we will buy whatever we personally prefer, no good being like sheep and all doing the same. I do not think that a product that has not been released yet can be criticised, wait until it is released then see what it's like. I have read bad reports on the Termi system but that does not mean that I believe all I have read.
Like I said, I have nothing against Rich at all...and yes, Chris was the other rider but we still used Akra pipes on his bike after we took the Austin ones off. The Austin ones were used for the first part of the season, but not at all last season or this. And as I said as well, my original post was based purely on my own experience, and cast no aspersions on anyone elses opinion....
You need to disappear with your blatant lies and the thread should be erased. FACT: the only reason Splitlath went away from AR exhausts was because i would not supply 4+ full Inconel systems for free with spares backup. FACT: AR have not had 1 single silencer failure on a Splitlath race bike. FACT: AR systems outperform the AKRA system's on the V4, happy to prove that to you at any time you wish on any dyno you wish. FACT: You and your rider were sacked from the team, what did you end up doing after you got booted out from Splitlath David!!! FACT: you approached me to buy exhausts from me for your Ducati ventures.
Mate your'e coming across as a spoilt, obnoxious little oik. If you have a problem please sort it out privately. Airing all your grievances in public is doing nothing for your reputation. Think on a bit before you post things, I gather your in the business to make money so stick to that. Every product has it's nay sayers - accept that. your over the top denials of any of your products ever failing is nigh on impossible to believe. Engineered products do fail. So do yourself a favour and get a grip. I've seen some of you products and they looked nice, thats all i can say. But your attitude to a couple of comments is wearing thin and maybe you are losing more customers by your obnoxious behaviour than any rumours of poor QA/QC protocols.
Its simply defending our good name against a blatant liar out to cause trouble. We can take criticism but when it comes to slagging off to that extent, not necessary! I agree its not worth the time of day.
What a load of bollocks. Rich, you are more of a twat than I thought. Neither Hudson nor I were "booted" from the team, I spent most of Last year in Australia and rejoined them as soon as I got back, and was with them right to the end of last season. Hudson left at Brands to join PR Kawasaki because he felt the Aprilias just werent competitive. Its that simple....I didnt "approach you with a view to buying exhausts" I merely enquired about them, as anyone would, and that was before they started failing. And it is a blatent lie that none ever failed....they did......and I wasnt out to cause you any trouble, I just reported the facts as I found them within the Splitlath team...you are the one thats stirred all this up in the last couple of days. But I wont stoop to your gutter level by calling you a "blatent liar out to cause trouble", I dont have to, people will read your posts and draw their own conclusions.
